On Our Launch

Bottle is not for the light of heart. It is for women who love to feel, devour thought, exude a crass-y kind of class, and push their fellow women to do the same. As far as I’m concerned, that includes exactly every woman I know.

You can go to the “about” page and read who I am, who the rest of the team is, and why we’re doing this. You can go to the home page and see how we’re doing this – and how we might be having trouble creating an entire online magazine from scratch. But if that doesn’t answer your question, look to your mother, your sister, your best female friend, or yourself. We write for the women who love to bake while the debate is on, the women who go clubbing after working a 40-hour week, and the women who read novels with a bottle of wine on a Friday night.

The contributors of Bottle are whole human beings with careers and informed opinions who also happen to watch YouTube videos and bake cupcakes and have sex. We expect that our audience is the same.

Bottle will be publishing daily on an online platform. We plan to continue to grow, and by May we hope to have something more concrete to show for it: a paper magazine and a phone app.

Bottle is a publication by women, for everyone, about everything. We don’t bottle it up.

  3. I read about your magazine today in the Tucson Weekly, and I have to say I think it was kismet. I am a fellow WordPresser, but I think I’d like to work with an outfit like this when I grow up (I’m 50 and proud).
I think feminism is alive and kicking like never before, Looks like this ‘zine is going to make sure everyone knows it. Glad I found you!
